You know that moment in Brawl where the Pikmin taps Olimar and points at Falcon's approaching F-Zero racer? That's actually a fairly advanced mental process, from what I recall of TV shows about the great apes. You have to be prett-ty damn close to sentient to see that your ally isn't aware of that threat behind them, and therefore you should warn them. Adding that to Pikmin behaviour in the actual Pikmin canon gives me such worldbuilding fuzzies. |
